Meeting Dr. BruceÂ
Dr. Timothy Bruce is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a Brookfield, WI native. He has been around the medical field his whole life, with both of his parents being physicians in the Milwaukee metro area.Â
He graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin before pursuing a medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin. After that Dr. Bruce was a diving medical officer in the Navy, meaning he was a primary care physician for two special operations. During his time, he learned to focus on results and what it means to be a part of a team. Â
Following his time in the Navy, he completed his Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency at the prestigious University of Chicago Medicine where he trained with world leaders in plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery. He is grateful to receive and earned the Academic Achievement Award in 2019 and 2020, alongside the Resident Teaching Award in 2021 during his time at the University of Chicago Medicine.Â
Inspiration Â
Dr. Bruce says what inspired him to become a plastic surgeon is being able to make a difference for someone and challenge himself. When a patient walks into the operating room they have a problem and when they walk out that problem is solved, which excites him. Dr. Bruce offers a wide range of cosmetic reconstructive surgeries, including breast augmentation, breast reconstruction, facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, and cancer reconstruction.Â
Outside of the Office Â
Dr. Bruce is committed to having a work-life balance. He enjoys spending time exploring Milwaukee and other surrounding Wisconsin areas with my lovely wife, daughter, and his dogs. He loves the culture and the friendliness of the people in Wisconsin.Â
