The Earlobe Repair Surgery Procedure
Before the procedure, all sides of the ear are cleaned with an antiseptic solution and a local anesthetic is injected around the tear. An incision is made around the damaged earlobe, separating it into anterior and posterior flaps.
The anterior and posterior flaps are sutured together and the wound is dressed in a sterile bandage.
Earlobe Repair Recovery
After Earlobe Repair, most patients are able to drive themselves home and return to work either the same day or the following day. The area should be kept clean to avoid infection.
If absorbable sutures are not used, sutures will need to be removed 1-2 weeks after completion of the repair procedure. Re-piercing can be done anywhere from 2-6 months after the procedure.
To make this procedure accessible to all our patients we provide Financing options.
