Moxi Vs Halo Laser Treatments 

Two of the most popular laser skin treatments at Illume are Moxi and Halo, both produced by Sciton, but offer different benefits.  

• Moxi  

Moxi is a non-ablative, gentler approach to laser resurfacing. Moxi is safe for everyone and can treat any type of skin. This treatment benefits those of younger ages just starting laser treatments and want little downtime. Moxi’s downtime is 3-5 days, and you may need to receive 3-4 treatments from Moxi to achieve the results you want.  

• Halo  

Halo has both ablative and non-ablative being able to deliver wavelengths to the same area of the skin. Halo laser treatment penetrates the skin more and is used for those who have more stubborn skin conditions, compared to Moxi. Halo’s downtime is 5-7 days, and you may need to receive 1-3 treatments of Halo to achieve your desired results.  

Different Types of BBL Laser Treatments 

BBL is another one of Illume’s most popular skin treatments. There are different types of BBL skin treatments you can receive. All the BBL treatments are non-ablative.  

• BBL  

BBL (Broadband Light) uses pulsed light. It has a broad spectrum and can be filtered in different ways to treat different conditions, being able to cover larger areas of the skin opposed to a single laser. It can help treat age spots (liver spots), sun damage, redness, broken facial vessels, wrinkles and dull skin. 

• BBL Hero  

BBL Hero is similar to the regular BBL, but it has four times the speed, three times the peak power, and two times the cooling capacity. This is used for people who have severe dark pigmentation or loss of skin firmness.  

• Forever Young BBL  

This treatment uses BroadBand Light therapy to modify the gene expression of older, damaged skin cells, changing them to more closely resemble younger skin. This is great for someone who is targeting the signs of aging.
