Dr. Thomas G. Korkos

Dr. Thomas G. Korkos, a board-certified plastic surgeon and founding partner of Illume, has been practicing since July 1996. He was educated through the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he underwent general surgery training, followed by a plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship.

Dr. Korkos had the opportunity to join his father in 1996, at which point they envisioned a citadel for cosmetic surgery. That vision became the Bluemound Cosmetic Surgical Center; a source for all your aesthetic and surgical needs. Dr. Korkos was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1998 and underwent re-certification in 2008 and 2018.

Based on his large volume of cosmetic surgery cases, he was accepted into the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in May of 2002, signifying excellence in cosmetic surgery care and outcomes. He has served on multiple professional boards and was a past President of the Wisconsin Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is an appointed Clinical Associate Professor for the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Plastic Surgery and Mock Oral Examiner, preparing residents to take oral certification exams.

Other appointments include Clinical Associate Professor for Marquette University College of Health Science, where he helps train student physician assistants in plastic surgery, and Clinical Instructor for the Medical College of Wisconsin Waukesha Family Practice Residency Program. There is a strong demand for his lectures on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Recently, Dr. Korkos was voted Best Cosmetic Surgeon in Shepherd Express’ Best of Milwaukee in 2019, 2020, and 2022 and was named Top Doctor by Milwaukee Magazine in 2020, 2023, and 2024.

Dr. Korkos’ training allows him to offer services that include the entire scope of plastic and reconstructive surgery. He prides his practice on results and strives for excellence in patient outcomes.
