About Consultations at Illume

A personal consultation is the first step for anyone considering a surgical procedure, medspa treatment, or weight loss program. During this meeting, one of our board-certified plastic surgeons or licensed providers will recommend the best treatment options and answer any questions you may have.

There is no fee for medspa consultations, including Botox, filler, and skincare. There is also no fee for any weight loss consultations.

We require a $100 deposit for all out-of-pocket surgical consultations with all our Board Certified Plastic Surgeons. This $100 is fully refundable if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with at least a 24-hour notice. Your $100 deposit can be applied towards the cost of your surgical procedure provided that surgery is scheduled within 6 months from the time of the consultation.  Surgery beyond 6 months from the time of the initial consultation or for procedures not discussed in the original consultation would require another consultation and a $100 deposit.

All our plastic surgeons offer in-person consultations. Virtual consultations are available upon request. 

**The costs for insurance-based services, including consultations and surgery, can vary based on contractual terms with health care insurance providers.  We recommend contacting your insurance carrier to get those exact costs.

How Many Units of Botox Will I Need?

A list of common usages and the typical treatments necessary for each area is below. *The number of Botox units needed varies from person to person and may require more units than listed. The cost of our Botox is $10/unit.

Between Brows - Typically 9 - 30 units

Chin - Typically 4 -10 units

Crow's Feet - Typically 6 - 14  units per side

Forehead - Typically 8 - 25 units

Jaw (TMJ)  - Typically 5 - 22 units per side

Lower Lip - Typically 2 - 3 units

Neck - Typically 10 - 25 units

Necklace Line - Typically 10 - 30 units

Nose - Typically 2 - 6 units

Under Lip Corners - Typically 2 - 8 units

Underarm Sweating - Typically 100 units total

Upper Lip -  Typically 3 - 12 units

How Much Does Botox at Illume Cost?

Our Botox is always $10/unit for both new and returning patients. No membership fees, no prepayments, no catch. This isn’t a one-time Botox special—this is our regular price: just $10 per unit, all the time! 

Other Botox Treatments / Non-Cosmetic Botox Injections

Botox® can also help relieve pain caused by TMJ, improve the appearance of a "gummy" smile, or enhance the look of the upper lip, a procedure known as  Lip Flip. We also offer a "Glass Skin" treatment to reduce the look of pores and shrink sebaceous glands in the skin.

Yes, Botox® injection treatments were approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for cosmetic use to treat lines between the brows, crow's feet lines, and forehead lines. It has been approved for the treatment of several medical conditions since 1989. Botox® is a trade name for botulinum toxin A. Botox® is related to botulism.

Trap Tox / Barbie Botox

"Trap tox," also known as "Barbie Botox is a cosmetic procedure involving injecting Botox into the trapezius muscles (the large muscles in the upper back and shoulders) to relax them, potentially leading to slimmer shoulders and an elongated neck.

Post Botox Procedure

For the best results and to avoid complications, it's crucial to follow these guidelines. Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas for at least 24 hours to prevent the Botox from spreading. Additionally, steer clear of strenuous exercise, saunas, and excessive heat exposure for a few days.

Continue with your daily skincare routine, but use only gentle, hydrating products to maintain healthy skin and support the effects of the Botox treatment.

Botox® is approved for adults 18 years and older. If you want to use Botox® as a preventative to lines and wrinkles, we recommend starting Botox® in your 20s or 30s. In your 40s and on, Botox® can treat lines and wrinkles and help make you look younger. The age at which you choose to receive Botox varies depending on the cosmetic results you desire.

What Can I Expect After My First Botox Treatment?

Blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) refines the eyelids’ form and function. It can be done on the upper lids, the lower lids, or both.
