Roger Mixter, MD
Dr. Roger Mixter is a board certified plastic surgeon and has practiced cosmetic surgery in Wisconsin for over twenty years. Originally from Milwaukee, Dr. Mixter is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the Mayo Clinic and advanced training in facial reconstruction at the Australian craniofacial unit.Dr. Mixter is Emeritus Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin and Assistant Professor at Marquette University. He serves as an examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In his academic medical practice, Dr. Mixter has authored more than 50 medical articles and book chapters. His practice focus is cosmetic surgery including: face lifts, eye lifts, breast augmentation, and reduction, abdominoplasty, liposuction, lip augmentation and many other innovative surgical and laser procedures.
Dr Mixter is also an active participant in a collaboration with Youth Chef Academy and the Milwaukee Boys and Girls Clubs to promote healthy eating in an effort to reduce childhood obesity in Milwaukee. He has been recognized as One of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly for 3 consecutive years.

F.A.C.E. : the Foundation for the Advancement of Craniofacial Educational is a private not for profit 501c3 dedicated to: the treatment of children with craniofacial deformities; research into the causes of those deformities; and the education of craniofacial plastic surgeons. our pro bono work has resulted in the treatment of hundreds of children in Chiapas, Moscow, Cuba and Haiti. We have participated in the study of the genetic causes of cleft lip and palate in Mayan children in Chiapas. FACE has enabled surgeons from Russia, Cuba and Haiti to pursue additional training in plastic surgery. at the present time, we sponsor a plastic surgery fellowship in conjunction with the National Medical School of Haiti,Partners in Health at the Hospital Universitaire Mirebalais.
Breast Cancer Showhouse was founded in 1998 as an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Its mission is to support early-stage breast cancer research and prostate cancer research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center.
Since its founding, it has had a $93.65 million impact at MCW. Its cumulative investment is $7.05 million to fund research awards and to endow research professorships in breast cancer research and prostate cancer research.
FoodRight was initiated in 2012 as a social enterprise dedicated solely to changing the way Milwaukee eats by building healthy connections to food. FoodRight aims to eliminate food insecurity and chronic diseases linked with poor diet starting with those most at risk—our children.
